Roller Cutter (Roller Shear Type / Knife Roller Type, High-Strength Shearing Machine for Film)
The roller cutter (also known as a roller shear crusher or knife roller crusher) is a type of machine optimized to solve the problems of easy entanglement, difficulty in cutting, and the need for continuous and efficient processing of plastic films. It is often classified as a single-shaft/double-shaft reinforced roller cutter variant, and some have an independent roller shear structure. Its core is that the spiral/linear roller cutters (tooth) are densely arranged on the rotating cutter shaft, which, together with the fixed/reverse roller cutters, form a continuous rolling and shearing composite force, rather than a simple impact. It is particularly suitable for batch crushing of rolls, bundles, and large-area films, while taking into account low speed, high torque, and uniform output.

Anti-tangling + Low heat generation: The rollers are arranged in a spiral/segmented pattern, combined with hydraulic feeding, to prevent the film from tangling on the cutter shaft; the low-speed design (far lower than ordinary high-speed crushers) significantly reduces frictional heat generation, inhibiting the softening and adhesion of PE/PP film; the blades are mostly made of SKD-11/D2 cold work die steel, can be used in four directions, and have a long service life.
Adjustable output particle size: By changing the blade tooth spacing, screen aperture (commonly 8–20mm), or adjusting the gap between the rollers and the fixed blades (0.3–1mm), the process can be switched from coarse crushing to fine particle size.
Structural differentiation: Single roller (single-shaft roller shear): Suitable for small to medium production capacity, small footprint, and affordable price; Double roller (double-shaft roller shear): Suitable for large-scale recycling lines, can directly process whole bundles of agricultural film/packaging film, no pre-cutting required, doubling processing efficiency.
Suitable scenarios: large-scale agricultural film recycling bases, centralized waste lines in packaging plants, and crushing sections before film granulation, especially good at handling damp films containing a small amount of mud and sand;
